John Foran is UCSB’s “Sustainability Champion” for 2013-14.  He is working with a team of seven people, including UCSB Sociology Ph.D. Richard Widick and Sociology graduate students Corrie Ellis and Summer Gray to produce a year-long project dedicated to Climate Justice.  The team will be at the COP 19 UN Climate Summit in Warsaw, Poland between November 9 and 25, doing interviews and fieldwork for a film and a book to be produced later in 2014.  In May 2014 the project will host a conference at UCSB, “Reimagining Climate Justice.”
