Dating Styles of Young Adults
There are many different types of relationships between couples, especially on college campuses. The dating scripts used in the past have changed drastically over the years, and the relationships we see today are sometimes quite different from things seen a couple of decades ago. Some young couples go out on dates, but a majority seem to be trying a new form of activity called "hooking up." This new type of relationship entails some form of sexual activity, from kissing to intercourse, and is normally present only after a night of heavy alcohol consumption. Many argue that "hook up's" have replaced the typical dating scene that previously dominated college campuses.
