Undergraduate Paper Competition

The Department of Sociology announces its call for the fifth annual competition for "Best Undergraduate Paper in Sociology."  The paper must be by a Sociology major, and can be of any length, on any topic.

Students should revise and polish their work before they submit it. Papers must be delivered electronically by attachment to the Director of Undergraduate Studies, Geoffrey Raymond  (graymond@soc.ucsb.edu); hard copies are acceptable by prior arrangement.

The deadline for receipt of the paper is Friday, May 11, 2012.  A  prize of $250 will be awarded to the paper chosen by a  jury consisting of the members of the Undergraduate Program Committee, to be awarded at the Departmental Honors and Awards Ceremony, Friday, June 15, 2012.
